Here's where Xur is in Destiny 2 today, and what you should buy from him
With the release of the Curse of Osiris DLC, Bungie has pushed Xur's arrival back a few hours. He'll now appear every Friday at 17:00 GMT (09:00 PST).
Xur has arrived in Destiny 2 once again, and his offering of Exotics will stick around until the Tuesday reset. His location is marked in your in-game director, so just mark his icon and follow your HUD. Here's where he is and what you should buy from him.
Xur is back on Nessus this week, distributing his wares at Watcher's Grave. Set your waypoint to his marker on the world map. He is selling:
- Skyburner's Oath, an Exotic energy scout rifle, for 29 legendary shards
- The Dragon's Shadow, Exotic Hunter chest armour, for 23 legendary shards
- Hallowfire Heart, Exotic Titan chest armour, for 23 legendary shards
- Sanguine Alchemy, Exotic Warlock chest armour, for 23 legendary shards
- Three of Coins, a consumable which raises the chance of an Exotic drop for four hours, for 31 legendary shards.
- A Fated Engram, which guarantees a non-duplicate Exotic, for 97 legendary shards.
Skyburner's Oath is an Exotic scout rifle adapted from Cabal tech - with a satisfying heft and kick to match. It is fully automatic, though if you're finding the recoil hard to manage, aiming down sights will lower the fire rate while upping the damage, so there's no loss in DPS. It does extra damage to Cabal, and even penetrates those annoying Phalanx shields. This is definitely one of the better Exotic weapons, and a great pick for any Cabal-heavy strike. Skyburner's Oath shouldn't replace Coldheart when it comes to chucking out damage in the raid, but when killing Cabal mobs is more important - like in the Castellum or the Gauntlet, or if you're on add control in the Baths - it's a great choice. Keenly recommended.
The Dragon's Shadow provides Hunters with a free reload for all weapons every time they dodge, temporarily boosting both movement and weapon handling speeds as well. That makes it a fantastic choice for aggressively-minded PvP players - if you like to really get your hands dirty in the Crucible, this will have you running circles around the competition.
Hallowfire Heart is a Titan chest that improves the recharge rate of all your Solar abilities while Hammer of Sol is charged, so obviously, it's for Sunbreakers who are willing to hold their Super in exchange for more grenades and melee attacks. I doubt there are many of those, since Hammer of Sol is one of the Sunbreaker's highlights, while its grenades are lacklustre.
