You’ll finally be able to play as General Grievous in Star Wars Battlefront II
EA has revealed the roadmap for the major Star Wars Battlefront II updates in the next few months - the Squad System, Geonosis as a new area, and the special additions of General Grievous and Obi-Wan as playable characters are particular highlights. Get your calendar ready. Starting with September, there will be a new gameplay improvement called the Squad System that is “aimed to encourage team play,” it’s basically the same as the system in Battlefield. This allows you to spawn onto your teammates when you die in combat. This encourages you to stick near your teammates as when you die you will be able to spawn back in the same place and hopefully get revenge on the person who killed you. Clone Wars fans will be happy to hear that alongside news of the release of the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps and 104th Wolfpack Battalion. More great news for Clone Wars fans, October will mainly focus on the debut release of the lightsaber hoarder General Grievous, and is the first of the highly anticipated heroes that were announced at EA PLAY back in June.
