Fortnite player numbers reached nearly 80 million in August alone
September 20, 2018 Fortnite developer Epic Games has updated us on the battle royale’s total player count.
If you thought - or hoped - Fortnite was slowing down, think again. It remains one of the biggest games in the world, and the latest numbers from Epic suggest it’s going to keep it up for the foreseeable future. Fortnite had 78.3 million players in the month of August alone. Total downloads of the game have officially topped 125 million since the battle royale's release in 2017, with previous reports of 40 million logging in to play every single month. The new jump in players is likely coming in part thanks to Fortnite's release on Android. As Epic details in its latest dev blog, August was Fortnite's biggest month yet, with nearly 80 million players logging in during that 31-day time frame. The Andoid version launched on August 9 as one of the last modern systems to get access to the game. Epic's release of the game on Android garnered some controversy, but fortunately for them, it seems that that has paid off.from PCGamesN https://ift.tt/2zbk2OJ
