Read Dead Redemption 2’s companion app seems to point to a PC version
Red Dead Redemption 2 has been raking in rave reviews - it currently sits at a score of 97 on Metacritic. And now there’s a new set of hints that Rockstar’s Western epic may one day see a PC release. Rockstar’s companion app for Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to contain references to a PC version of the game, as RockstarIntel reports. Several of the app’s parameters seem to be either PC-specific or explicitly mention PC in their names. Additionally, several parameters found in the app appear to refer to PC-specific graphics options, such as high-resolution depth of field, lighting and shadow quality, and water reflection quality. Rockstar has yet to confirm a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2, but the company also hasn’t said it isn’t making one. Back in June, VG24/7 reported on a Rockstar developer who (temporarily) made reference to working on a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 on their LinkedIn profile. And of course, PC players had to wait almost 19 months from the initial launch of Grand Theft Auto V on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 before the game became available for Windows.
