This Fortnite “Story so Far” video is oddly beautiful

A lot has happened in Fortnite this year, and when you try to explain it to someone who hasn’t been keeping up, they’ll look at you like you’ve got two heads. A wandering cube, a rocket that cracked the sky, superheroes - it tends to sound like someone describing a weird dream they had. But this quick retrospective video makes it all make sense - well, almost anyway. A Fortnite content creator who goes by Laffengas has created a video that sums up the events of Fornite seasons three through six, beginning with the mysterious message on the television, all the way through to the current winter event. That covers a lot of ground when you pause and think: over that period, we’ve seen the showdown between Carbide and Omega, the launch of the rocket that cracked the sky, and the arrival - and subsequent departure - of Kevin the purple cube. Laffengas manages to hit most of the highlights - although he admits he wasn’t able to film every event; he missed Kevin’s plunge into the lake, for instance. “It’s crazy how nostalgic I felt making this when it’s only been just under a year,” he wrote in a thread on the Fortnite Battle Royale subreddit, where he’d posted his expertly cut video retrospective.
