Falcom will debut Ys IX footage next month

Falcom is set to debut footage of the upcoming Ys IX: Monstrum Nox next month at the Dengeki Games Festival 2019. Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo will be on stage during a special event on March 24 to reveal the first footage of Ys IX alongside a discussion of the future of the Trails series. The event will happen between 17:00 and 18:30 JST.

I'm still a bit surprised that Ys IX is going to be a PS4 exclusive. I figured the numerous ports to PC and Ys VIII's appearance on Switch would have been good indicators that this series was multi-platform. I'm also cautious about the future of the Trails series now that NISA is taking over. Despite all of that, I remain a big Ys fan and am eager to see what IX will be.
