Anthem gets a test server, but its Guilds, Cataclysm, and more are indefinitely delayed
Shortly after the announcement of update 1.1.0, the Anthem devs took to Reddit again to deliver some grimmer news about the game's new content pipeline. Many features promised in the Act 1 calendar have been delayed while the team prioritises "bug fixes, stability, and game flow". These delays are indefinite. On the plus side, it's getting a 'Player Feedback Environment' on PC.
The features affected include player guilds and leaderboards, as well as the mysterious Cataclysm event - the first content that might actually represent a new game mode (the repetitiveness of Anthem's existing content was one of my main criticisms in our review).
New freeplay events, a weekly Stronghold Challenge, phase II of the Legendary Missions, and a Mastery System are also delayed until further notice: developer Bioware says "when we have information to share on the items above, we will do so."
