Netflix’s Witcher series will release in late 2019
We already knew that Netflix’s The Witcher series was set to release some time during this year, but it now seems that we’ve still got quite a while to wait before we’ll get to see the show for ourself. Yesterday, Deadline (via PCGamer) revealed that a letter from the streaming service to its investors had confirmed that the show would not release until the fourth quarter of 2019.
That means that we’ll be waiting at least six months before the show heads to Netflix, as Q4 2019 won’t start until October. Sadly, we don’t have an exact release date, so it’s possible that we could be waiting until November or December to watch Geralt’s adventures.
Happily, however, that’s still better than the date that we had originally been expecting. Initial schedules suggested that the fantasy series would launch in 2020, but that date seems to have been brought forward in late 2018, confirming that Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, and co would all be heading to Netflix this year.
