Steam logs yet another record-setting weekend with 22 million players
As the coronavirus continues to force more people indoors, they've continued to log in to Steam - the platform has once again broken its own record for concurrent players this weekend, with more than 22 million logged on at peak time Sunday.
Just before 15:00 GMT Sunday, SteamDB reports that Steam hit a peak of 22,678,529 players - more than two million more than the record it set last week. Steam's concurrent player count has been on the rise since the beginning of the year, and it's steadily increased each weekend of the pandemic outbreak.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is far and away the game that the most users are playing at the moment. It, too, has set a new record this weekend with the number of concurrent players peaking at 1,096,442 - once again breaking the million mark after first hitting the milestone last weekend.
In second this weekend is Dota 2, which peaked at 717,882 over the weekend. That's nowhere near its all-time high, however - Dota 2 had nearly 1.3 million concurrent players four years ago, and that record has yet to be broken.
